Mickey Mouse is the most iconic animated character to receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He received his star on November 13, 1978. He has been followed by other notables such as Snow White on June 28, 1987 and Donald Duck in 2004. Many beloved Disney icons have received stars including Tinker Bell, Winnie the Pooh, and Kermit the Frog. But what about his beloved co-star? Minnie Mouse?
Minnie Mouse made her theatrical debut 90 years ago in the iconic Steamboat Willie Cartoon. She has been Mickey’s beloved co-star ever since. I guess since the new movement for equality in the arts, someone recognized that America’s Sweetheart deserved a star of her own!
The polka-dot bow wearing mouse is being honored upon her 90th anniversary in entertainment with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Minnie will receive her star on Monday, Jan. 22 at 11:30 a.m. PT at 6834 Hollywood Boulevard in front of Disney’s El Capitan Theatre, dedicated in the category of Motion Pictures. Congratulations Minnie!
Who else do you think deserves a star?

There are so many dining options at the Disney locations. You can eat fast, you can eat slow. There is junk food and fine dining. The options are amazing. But if you have kids, you have to try the Character Meals.
Our personal favorite is Goofy’s Kitchen at Disneyland. They have a similar Chef Mickey in Disney World, located in the Contemporary Hotel. I have heard that it is cheaper to eat breakfast, but we love Goofy for Dinner!
Make a reservation and show up a few minutes early. There are cartoons playing for the kids and a casual lounge for the parents. The event begins with a Character greeting and a group picture. The pictures are usually the best pictures of our trip…maybe because of the wait in the lounge?
The food is served buffet style, so you can eat as much as you want or even more than that, if you can squeeze it in. For the kids, there is Goofyroni and Cheese, an assortment of pizzas and Pluto’s hot dogs. The parents are treated to Fresh Fish, a Carving Station, Salad bar, Assorted vegetable selections and so much more. But the creme de la creme is the Dessert Station. It is amazing. I can’t begin to describe all of the choices and the deliciousness is endless.
While you are enjoying the relaxing atmosphere, an assortment of characters comes to your table, spends time signing autographs, taking pictures and talking to the guests. There are intermittent Dance Parties throughout the night, where Chef Goofy comes out and leads the dancing. Goofy is pretty good, but he hasn’t got Hot Hubby’s boogie shoes. Whenever we visiting Disneyland with kids, we enjoy one meal with Goofy. You should too.
