I may have mentioned that I am a newlywed and our marriage had its first test….we just returned from our first trip to Disneyland & California Adventure—together. I must admit, I was very nervous, because if Hot Hubby doesn’t love Disneyland…this might be a short marriage.
The trip went beautifully. We even wore our Newlywed t-shirts, so we got special attention wherever we went. It is quite special to see two old people newlyweds. I won’t begin to tell you how excited my mother is that I finally found the man of my dreams…but that is another story.
As it was our first trip, we started in California Adventure. We rode all of the rides and below is our Rating of the Good, the Bad and Hot Hubby’s pick.
The Good: Four white fingers straight up for Cars Land! We loved Radiator Springs Racers and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree. Four more white fingers for Frozen Live at the Hyperion, although Hot Hubby slept, it brought tears of joy to my eyes. The highlight of our day was California Screamin’, although Hot Hubby skipped lunch, because his stomach couldn’t handle food after going upside down.
The Bad: Although we enjoyed the Grizzly River Run, we were drenched twice on the ride and the hour wait turned Hot Hubby into Grumpy Patch. World of Color was amazing, but we forgot to get Fast Passes, so we had to stand in the back row…next time we will remember. Maybe.
Hot Hubby’s pick of the day was the Mickey Mouse Shaped Sourdough Bread from Pacific Wharf Cafe! Although he felt a little guilty tearing off Mickey’s ear, he loved every bite. And everything tastes better when it is shaped like Mickey Mouse.
Below are some pictures of the day, although we ate the bread, before I got the picture. Let me know what your favorite parts of California Adventure are!
